CHARLESTON -- Lessie Mae Williams, 83, of Charleston, died Thursday, May 2, 1991, at Miner Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1907, in Tennessee, daughter of John Henry and Martha Jane Mullins Arnold. She married Daniel C. Williams Oct. 30, 1921. He died in 1965.
Williams had lived in Mississippi County 60 years, and was a member of First General Baptist Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include three sons, Arnold Williams of Charleston, Jack Williams of Waterloo, Ill., Gayle Williams of Bertrand; three daughters, Phylis Crum of Loda, Ill., Faye Crum of Bertrand, Carressee Neal of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, Hollis Arnold of Atwood, Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Ernest Brown will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
