Leslie William Haman, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1930, in Cape Girardeau to Chester and Lucille E. Able Haman. He and Lillian Marie Lueder were married July 28, 1951. She died April 29, 1998.
Leslie was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
He served as a Boy Scout leader for Troop 15 of Cape Girardeau for 10 years and was a member of the Naval Reserve Seabees.
He worked as a carpenter for Riverside Lumber and later was employed by Acme Electric for 20 years. He then was in sales for Cape Electric before his retirement.
He is survived by two sons, Phillip (Shelia) Haman and Michael (Teresa) Haman; two brothers, James (Eleanor) Haman and Charles (Regina) Haman, all of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Stesha (Graham) Dubs, Alisha (Nick) Gray, Kelli (Luke) Brown, Halie Haman and Kaytlynn Haman; and three great-grandchildren, Lillianna, Rozalyn and Aksel Dubs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Steven and Douglas Haman.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Egypt Mills, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.
