OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Funeral service for Leslie Dunning of Edwardsville was held July 29 at Irwin Chapel in Granite City. The Rev. Fred Boatright officiated, with burial in Wanda Cemetery at South Roxana.
Dunning, 85, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at Madison County Nursing Home in Edwardsville.
He was born June 20, 1908, in Olive Branch, son of Amos and Estella Cartner Dunning.
Dunning was a retired truck driver and night watchman with General Electric in Rochelle.
Survivors include a son, Roger Dunning, address unknown; five sisters, Lois Scarmeos of Granite City, Zelva Bennett of Tamms, Mary Davis and Doris Jennings of Edwardsville, Margaret Francis of Wood River, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters and five brothers.
