EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Mrs. Lera Majors Tidwell of East Prairie will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Dave Bowden will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Mrs. Tidwell, 80 years old, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 1990, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 15, 1910, in Murray, Ky., daughter of Dave and Henry Poole Parker. She married Hershel Majors in 1926, who preceded her in death in 1938. She later married Alfred Dallas Tidwell in 1946, who died in 1971.

Mrs. Tidwell was a member of First Christian Church here.

Survivors include three sons, Hershel Majors of Detroit, Mich., Herbert Majors of Syracuse, N.Y., James Tidwell of Taipei, Taiwan; three daughters, June Majors and Shirley Brack of East Prairie, Lucille Tidwell of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Charlie Parker of East Prairie; a sister, Pauline Keeton of East Prairie; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, son, grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
