EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Leondas "Doc" Allen, 89, of East Prairie died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Clearview Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 28, 1913, in East Prairie, son the G.M. and Bessie Hockersmith Allen. He married Olivia Irene Allen on Dec. 3, 1932. She died Nov. 21, 2002.
He was a farmer and a member of the Assembly of God Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Leondas Allen of Arnold, Mo.; four daughters, Betty Eastman of Charleston, Mo., Bonnie Woods of Sikeston, Mo., Joyce Baltrusaitis of East Prairie and Judy McCann of Sikeston; a brother, G.W. Allen of East Prairie; two sisters, Vivian Watson of East Prairie and Maxine Laster of Bertrand, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rob Kespelher and Burl Britt officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
