Leonard Rampley Jr.

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Leonard Elmer Rampley Jr., 66, of Advance passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Advance.

He was born Oct. 11, 1950, at Bloomfield, Missouri, the son of Leonard E. and Verbie Morris Rampley Sr.

Leonard worked at the Inland Shoe factory in Advance. He then worked at Nestle-Purina in Bloomfield, retiring after 34 years.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Delta. He enjoyed working on classic cars and attending NHRA drag races.

Leonard and Pamela Faye Pikey were united in marriage March 18, 1977, at Bell City, Missouri, and she survives of the home.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Rampley of the home; a son, Jason (Danielle) Rampley of St. Peters, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kylie and Kiptyn Rampley; three brothers, Joe (Debbie) Rampley of Bloomfield, Jim (Becky) Rampley of Bell City and Carl (Kay) Rampley of Oran, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Rampley of Meadowville, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Carmen (Laverne) Rampley, Charles Rampley, Raymond (Betty) Rampley and Richard Rampley; and two sisters, Morene (Bloyse) Propst and Helen Winfrey.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Randy Conn and Ted Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
