PERRYVILLE -- Leonard E. "Pete" Degenhardt, 71, of Perryville died Saturday, July 22, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 18, 1923, at Altenburg, son of Henry and Mathilda Gruenwald Degenhardt. He was retired from the Chrysler Corp. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Perryville, and a booster member of AmVets and the VFW...
PERRYVILLE -- Leonard E. "Pete" Degenhardt, 71, of Perryville died Saturday, July 22, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 18, 1923, at Altenburg, son of Henry and Mathilda Gruenwald Degenhardt.
He was retired from the Chrysler Corp. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Perryville, and a booster member of AmVets and the VFW.
He and Luella Mary Ponder were married Oct. 5, 1949.

Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Bertha Bremer of Perryville and Cordy Lueders of Creve Coeur.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Young and Sons Chapel.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
