Leonard D. Dodd, 91, of Plainsboro, N.J., died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, N.J.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1907, at Mexico, Mo., son of Charles William and Ina Viola Sims Dodd.
He worked for 35 years as a chemist for PPG Industries, beginning in 1937. He graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette. He obtained a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. He was active in Boy Scouting and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of the Ceramic Society in St. Louis.
He married Mary Lucille Brasure. She died July 30, 1984.
Survivors include a son, David Dodd of Plainsboro, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
The Rev. John Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
