JACKSON, Mo. -- Mr. Leonard Conrad, 80, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4-8 today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The American Legion Honor Guard service will be at 7.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Brian Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
Mr. Conrad was born Feb. 12, 1920, at Gravel Hill, Mo., son of the late Ruben and Mary Barks Conrad. He married the former Ellen Crites June 18, 1955.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Kimberley Conrad of Jackson; and two granddaughters, Taylor and Heather Conrad.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Conrad served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Army Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion and VFW.
He was a carpenter all his life, having worked for Lester Statler Construction, R.F. Goodson Construction, John Freeze Construction, Rob Litzelfelner Construction and most recently at Tim Estes Construction Co.
