ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Leonard C. Aden of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Paul Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery with military honors by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Monday.
Aden, 91, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Union County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 12, 1910, in Vanduser, Mo., son of Henry P. and Effie Elsora Shipman Aden. He first married Selma Opperkew, who preceded him in death. He later married Virginia Baker, who also preceded him in death.
Aden was a retired auto body technician. He was a life member of VFW Post 3455 and a past state commander in Missouri.
Survivors include a sister, Fahren Gillespie of Buncombe, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
