DONGOLA, Ill. - Funeral services for Leona Snedeker, 96, will be held Friday, at 1:30 p.m., at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. The Rev. Carl Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in the Dongola American Legion Cemetery.
Friends may call of the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 6 p.m., Thursday.
Snedeker died Tuesday morning at the City Care Center in Anna.
She was born Sept. 23, 1894, in Dongola, to the late Solomon and Della Fisher Hill.
She married William "Mack" Snedeker on Feb. 15, 1916. He proceeded her in death on Sept. 3, 1970.
Snedeker is survived by a son, Harold Snedeker of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Louis Gokenbach of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Joan Pyne of Glastonbury, Conn.
Other survivors include one brother, Edison Hill of St. Louis, four sisters, Wilda Ash of California, Minnie Sheehan and Beedie Hoffner, both of St. Louis, and Loreen Campbell of Coffyville, Kan. Ten grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren also survive.
Snedeker was a charter member of the Dongola Church of Christ.
