PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leona S. Hoehn, 96, of Perryville entered her heavenly home Tuesday, April 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Leona loved the Lord and was a true servant of God. This was shown by her kind and caring heart and her beautiful smile. She was always putting others first. Although she was a very quiet and gentle person, she was so strong, even to the very end.

She was born Dec. 7, 1920, in Uniontown, Missouri, daughter of Chalmer Vest and Hedwig "Hattie" Sulamith Bock Morrison Mueller. She and Elmer Edward Charles Hoehn were married Nov. 20, 1943. He preceded her in death April 6, 1997.

Leona retired after 42 years with International Shoe Co. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Berean Bible Group and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

She was baptized Dec. 17, 1920, and confirmed April 9, 1933. She loved gardening and cooking for her family.

Survivors include three daughters and a son, Brenda (Earl) Kirn of Carthage, Missouri, Joyce (Wayne) Schremp of Perryville, Connie (Michael) Graves of St. Louis and Charles (Sue) Hoehn of Perryville; six grandchildren, Kara (Chad) Ball of Farmington, Arkansas, Joel (Susan) Schremp of Perryville, Andrew (Amber) Buchheit of Acworth, Georgia, Jill (Paul) Barber and Jennifer (Chris) Besand, both of Perryville, and Mark (Elise) Buchheit of Columbia, Missouri; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Gerald, Pershing and John "Treasy" Morrison; and two sisters, Loretta Krauss and Neola Prevallet.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Kindred Hospice.
