Leon Carl Sullivan, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at the home of his daughter.
He was born June 14, 1934, in Doniphan, Missouri, to Carl and Lorrina Rogers Sullivan. He married Dorothy Jeanette Beggs on June 26, 1953, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death Jan. 26, 1993.
Leon and his wife owned and operated Pizza Inn in Cape Girardeau for over 20 years. His later career was working for Drury Southwest for over 22 years.
He was a member of La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by a son, Danny Sullivan of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Tina (Brad) Graham of Cape Girardeau; a son-in-law, Keith Huckstep of Jefferson City, Missouri; a brother, John Sullivan of Salina, Kansas; a sister, Sarah Russell of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Jill LeGrand, Nathan Graham, Shea Schroer, Jared Huckstep, Zach Hawkins, Caleb Sullivan and Emma Graham; and five great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Barry Sullivan; and two daughters, Joni Huckstep and Cindy Sullivan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Ron Watts and Brett Cheek officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
