Leola Rachel Bryant, 71, of Sullivan died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla.
She was born Dec. 7, 1927, at Gordonville, daughter of Herbert and Frieda Gerecke Quade. She and Estel "Red" Bryant were married in 1945 in Cape Girardeau. He died June 8, 1995.
Bryant lived on Benton Hill Road until moving to Sullivan in 1997. She was a former member of VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Bryant of Sullivan, Mitchell Bryant of St. Louis; a daughter, Gail Larson of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; three brothers, Norman and Paul Quade of Cape Girardeau, Harry Quade of Chaffee; six sisters, Margaret Burnett of Chaffee, Allene Metheny of Charles City, Iowa, Naomi Suzuki of Granite City, Ill., Magdaline Carter of Knoxville, Tenn., Emma Pedersen of Springfield, Rose Quade of Dexter; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
