NEW HAMBURG -- Leocadia Bucher, 90, of New Hamburg died Sunday, May 10, 1992, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 12, 1901, at New Hamburg, the daughter of Andrew and Catherine Dannenmueller Dirnberger.
On May 9, 1922, she married Philip Bucher, who preceded her in death July 30, 1951. On April 28, 1955, she married Michael Bucher, who preceded her in death May 24, 1968.
She was a housewife, and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. She also was a member of the St. Ann's Sodality and the Senior Citizens of New Hamburg.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Msgr. Philip Bucher of Pierce City; five daughters, Veronica Westrich of New Hamburg, Marietta Vandermierden of Glennon, Corona Essner of Cape Girardeau; Susie Seyer of Oran, and Zita Nenninger of Hazelwood; a brother, Claude Dirnberger of New Hamburg; a sister, Armella Alt of Cape Girardeau; 58 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son, five brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Msgr. Philip Bucher and the Rev. Alois Stevens will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
