DONGOLA, Ill. -- Leo R. Eddleman, 88, of Union City, Tenn., formerly of Dongola, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 1990, at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1902, at Dongola to the late James Calvin and Anna Belle Barringer Eddleman. He married Catherine Walker in 1924. She proceeded him death on Aug. 18, 1975. He married Mary Jewell Burley in 1977.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a retired farmer. He was also retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
He is survived by his wife of Union City, three daughters, JOy McGuire of Denver, Colo., Madge Carroll of Urbana, Ill. and Ann Rowe of Frederick, Md.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by three sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Schrack will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
