ALTENBURG -- Leo Petzoldt, 73, of Altenburg died Thursday, May 23, 1996, at Vencor Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 12, 1922, in Wittenberg to Oscar and Concordia Lohman Petzoldt.
He married Myrtle Dreyer Feb. 7, 1945. She survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Pat Hecht of Altenburg; two brothers, Harry and Lewis Petzoldt, both of Frohna; two sisters, Arline Koenig of Frohna and Dorothy Winter of Perryville; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter.
Petzoldt was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells, VFW Post 4282, and Disabled American Veterans in Cape Girardeau.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson today from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
