ANNA, Ill. -- Leo J. Bridgeman, 86, of Anna died Monday, June 23, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He was born July 31, 1910, in Alto Pass, son of Roy and Ollie Godwin Bridgeman. He and Virgie Williams were married Dec. 25, 1930. She died July 26, 1994...

ANNA, Ill. -- Leo J. Bridgeman, 86, of Anna died Monday, June 23, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born July 31, 1910, in Alto Pass, son of Roy and Ollie Godwin Bridgeman. He and Virgie Williams were married Dec. 25, 1930. She died July 26, 1994.

Bridgeman was retired from the former Anna State Hospital. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Survivors include two sons, Hobart Bridgeman of St. Louis, Delano Bridgeman of Anna; a sister, Bonnie Sweet of Anna; a brother, Dennie Bridgeman of Anna; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Anna Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Ralph Lee officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
