LENITA E. CHOATE

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Lenita E. Choate, 62, of Versailles, Mo., formerly of near Jonesboro, died Saturday, April 3, 1993, in Jefferson City, Mo.

She was born Feb. 21, 1931, at Alto Pass, daughter of Willis and Clara Nichols Allen.

She married Charles Choate Sept. 9, 1946, at Murphysboro.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Eldon, Mo.

Survivors are her husband, a daughter, Jeannie McGinnis, Versailles; sons, Don Choate, Versailles, and Jack Choate, Overland, Park, Kan.; sisters, Marjorie Bittle, Cobden; Opal Swink, Anna, and Vivian Smith, Johnson City; a brother, Howard Allen, Cobden; and four grandchildren.

A daughter, four sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Louis Turk and the Rev. Gerald Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
