LENICE E. STEPHAN

Graveside service for Lenice Evelyn Stephan of Monroe, La., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating.

There is no visitation. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Stephan, 81, died Friday, Dec. 9, 1994, at the home of a son in Monroe.

She was born April 9, 1913, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Dr. Arthur Winn and Harriett Shores Vaughan. She married Leon L. Stephan Sr., who preceded her in death.

Stephan taught high school and college history and geography in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Survivors include a son, Leon L. Stephan Jr. of Monroe; a daughter, Lenice Cox of Wewahitchka, Fla.; a brother, Donald Vaughan of Oxford, Miss.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
