Lendy Wiggins

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- On the first day of this New Year 2016, Lendy W. Wiggins, 74, of Chaffee passed away at the home of his daughter Tina. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 21, 1941, in Wayne County, Illinois, to the late Chester and Margie Shaw Wiggins. He married Elizabeth Jane Murray on Jan. 21, 1961, and she preceded him in death with him right by her side, after 51 years of marriage, on Aug. 10, 2012.

Lendy was a member of the Allenville Baptist Church in Allenville. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed nothing more than setting records with his enormous catfish. He worked as a contractor and owned and operated LWW Contractors.

Survivors include four daughters; two brothers; three sisters; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a sister and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery near Arbor.
