LENA WILSON

VANDUSER -- Funeral service for Lena M. Wilson of Vanduser will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Lawrence Ray will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Wilson, 92, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, in Simi Valley, Calif.

She was born Feb. 25, 1905, at Vanduser, daughter of Fred and Ada Joyce Thurston. She and Larney E. Wilson were married Aug. 28, 1923. He died in November 1978.

Survivors include two daughters, June Harper and Jean Daffern of Simi Valley; a brother, Claud Thurston of Sikeston; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
