RALEIGH, Ill. -- Lena Whitlock, 90, of Raleigh, died Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia.
She was born Nov. 22, 1905, in Hamilton County, daughter of Columbus and Mary Smith Pemberton. She married Jack Whitlock, who died in 1972.
Whitlock had worked at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Eldorado, and had been a custodian at First Baptist Church in Raleigh. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Clifton and Jack Whitlock of Raleigh, Kenneth Whitlock of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Kendall Whitlock of Kimberling City, Mo.; a daughter, Betty Rogers of Granite City; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Whitlock, a grandson, and the Rev. Bruce Lundy officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery.
