SCOTT CITY -- Lela Muriel Hester, 92, of Scott City, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, at Cape LaCroix Manor in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 20, 1901, at Mt. Pulaski, Ill., daughter of William and Winifred Love Lincoln. She and Leon Hester were married Nov. 11, 1918, at Poplar Bluff. He died June 16, 1975.
Hester was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Ralph, Leo and Douglas Hester of Scott City; two daughters, Winifred Ferris of Lompoc, Calif., Dorothy Hamer of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with Amick-Burnett Funeral Home at Scott City in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the church from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday.
