ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lela Gribler, 90, of Advance died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born May 11, 1918, at McGee, Mo., daughter of Jess and Minnie Jackson Hardesty. She and Jim Gribler were married Feb. 28, 1940, at Marble Hill, Mo. He died March 9, 2001...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lela Gribler, 90, of Advance died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born May 11, 1918, at McGee, Mo., daughter of Jess and Minnie Jackson Hardesty. She and Jim Gribler were married Feb. 28, 1940, at Marble Hill, Mo. He died March 9, 2001.

Gribler was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church near Arab, Mo.

Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Richardson of South Roxana, Ill., Wilma McKelvy of Camden, Ark.; a sister, Irene Stratman of Advance; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Sargent officiating. Burial will be in McGee New Hope Cemetery at McGee.
