ANNA, Ill. -- Lela G. Stokes, 82, of Anna, died Sunday, June 26, 1994, at her home. She was born on Sept. 21, 1911 in Union County, Ill., the daughter of David M. and Ida Boner Pulliam. She married Lowell M. Stokes on May 2, 1930 in Dongola, Ill. He died on Dec. 11, 1984...

ANNA, Ill. -- Lela G. Stokes, 82, of Anna, died Sunday, June 26, 1994, at her home.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1911 in Union County, Ill., the daughter of David M. and Ida Boner Pulliam.

She married Lowell M. Stokes on May 2, 1930 in Dongola, Ill. He died on Dec. 11, 1984.

Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Adams of Anna; a sister, Clara Cook of Lake Charles, La.; and one brother, Clarence Pulliam of Anna.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. John Gearing officiating. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
