Lee Burton Cranor, 80, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and avid collector, passed away on June 23, 2024. Services will be held July 3 at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, Jackson. Memorials to St. Jude's welcomed.

Lee Burton Cranor, 80, of Jackson died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to Thomas S. and Maymie Lee Haywood Cranor. He and Pauline Hill Gipson were married Feb. 14, 2001, in St. Louis.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He graduated from Paducah Community College.

He loved word searches and collecting Abraham Lincoln memorabilia and coins.

He was a member of Gospel Assembly in Cape Girardeau and a 30-year member of Gospel Assembly Church in Elkville, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Cranor of Jackson; children, Randy Cranor and Stacey Cranor, both of Kentucky, Fredilu Toms-Coulter of Illinois, Anna Brieling of Illinois and Fred Hall-Freeman of Florida; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Stephen Cranor.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the funeral home in Jackson, with the Rev. Jeffrey Gipson and Rev. Jeff Gipson Jr. officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 .

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
