Leavada Daniels, 91, of Oak Ridge died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Canalou, Missouri, to George Franklin and Flora Matthews Asher Volz. She and J.P. Daniels were married Dec. 25, 1948, at Oran, Missouri. He died Aug. 27, 2004.
Leavada worked for the Lowenbaum Dress Factory in Cape Girardeau and later at Noah's Ark Daycare in Fruitland.
She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine (Keith) Hale of Jackson and Vera (retired Capt. Jeff) Militti of Waynesville, Missouri; two brothers, Eura Elvan "Sonny" (Gayla) Volz of Oak Ridge and Calvin (Linda) Volz of Marble Hill, Missouri; three sisters, Julania (Bill) Hargraves and Retha Morton, both of Jackson, and Loretta Wilson of Oak Ridge; and two grandsons, Blake and Brandon Militti.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, George, Elden and Kenneth; and four sisters, Dollie, Ollie, Eulalia and Dorothy.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Rhodes and Chaplain Jeff Militti officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
