CHAFFEE -- Leamon Lee Chronister, 79, of Chaffee, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1992, at Vencor Hospital in Kansas City.
He was born April 25, 1913, in Bollinger County, son of Levi Washington and Dora Elvira Bridges Chronister. He and Louise Campbell were married Dec. 25, 1934.
Chronister retired in 1977 as a train dispatcher with Frisco Railway Co.-Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Chaffee Masonic Lodge and past worthy patron of Chaffee Eastern Star Chapter 48.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Chronister of Chaffee, Edward Chronister of Raytown, and three grandsons.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Charley Shrum will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Friday. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
