Funeral service for Lawrence R. Hinck, 1626 N. West End Boulevard, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Larry Gallamore will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Hinck, 84, died Monday, Oct. 14, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Sept. 23, 1912, at Gordonville, son of Claus and Lena Ulrich Hinck. He and Leah Jones were married Aug. 8, 1935, in Cairo, Ill.
Hinck was a painting contractor in the Cape Girardeau area more than 50 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cape County Democrats, and active at Cape Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lawrence Hinck of Jonesboro, Ark.; a daughter, Fran Metje of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
