PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lawrence W. Coppaway, 77, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at Potosi, Mo.

He was born Oct. 28, 1926, in Perry County, son of William and Mary Cambron Coppaway.

Coppaway was a self-employed truck driver.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include six daughters, Carolyn Garms of Scott City, Marilyn Toler, Lori Coppaway and Connie Beckerman, all of Perryville, Linda Wheeler of St. Louis, Karen Patton of Wentzville, Mo.; two sons, Terry Coppaway of Gwynneville, Ind., Scott Coppaway of Perryville; and 14 grandchildren.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Home Cemetery, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.

Miller Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
