Hazel "Laverne" Warner, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at her home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 6, 1935, to Otis and Roxie McClain Moore. On Nov. 8, 1952, she married Orville Warner Sr., and he passed away Dec. 14, 2020. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Hazel "Laverne" Warner, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at her home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 6, 1935, to Otis and Roxie McClain Moore. On Nov. 8, 1952, she married Orville Warner Sr., and he passed away Dec. 14, 2020.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Laverne was known to be a God-fearing, loving, compassionate and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a friend to many.

Laverne is survived by a son, Orville Ray Warner Jr.; daughter, Beverly Gwen Warner; sisters, Anna May Moore and Darlene Vinyard; grandchildren, Brandy, Tori, Josh, Amber, Bradley, Travis, Chauntel and Landon; great-grandchildren, Brieanna, Colton, Bella, K.C., Kimberly, Kylee, Braden, Kaleb, Korben, Aubrey, Livi and Mina; and great-great-grandchildren, Josephine, Jayden, Aliyah, Collier and Hadlee.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Frank Burgess and Joe McCullough officiating. Interment will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials are suggested to Fellowship Baptist Church.
