Laverna Jean Hente, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 29, 1928, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Martin Edward and Rose Louis Fassold Hente. Hente was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a graduate of Central High School and worked for Florsheim Shoes for 39 years...

Laverna Jean Hente, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 29, 1928, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Martin Edward and Rose Louis Fassold Hente.

Hente was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. She was a graduate of Central High School and worked for Florsheim Shoes for 39 years.

Survivors include a brother, Donald Hente of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Merline Hente of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
