Lavada Ardelia Lindsey, 80, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the home of a son in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 24, 1926, at Illmo, daughter of William George and Dora Mae Henderson Jackson. She and Frank Louis Lindsey were married June 23, 1945, at Fornfelt. He died Aug. 31, 1998...

Lavada Ardelia Lindsey, 80, of Scott City died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at the home of a son in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 24, 1926, at Illmo, daughter of William George and Dora Mae Henderson Jackson. She and Frank Louis Lindsey were married June 23, 1945, at Fornfelt. He died Aug. 31, 1998.

Lindsey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Joe Lindsey of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Frances Moore of Dallas; four brothers, Orley, Harvey "Hop" and Billy Gene Jackson, all of Scott City, Jerry Jackson of Ottawa, Ill.; five sisters, Ruby Tackett of Zalma, Mo., Mary Lindner and Eula Jackson of Kalamazoo, Mich., Hazel Jackson of Chicago, Ruie Thompson of Ottawa; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
