KELSO, Mo. -- Laurie Kay Hiatt, 49, of Kelso passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at her home.
She was born Jan. 8, 1966, in St. Louis, to Darrell Arndt and Betty Hinton Merrill. She and Randy Hiatt were married Nov. 16, 1996, at Union, Missouri.
Laurie was a graduate of Northwest High School in High Ridge, Missouri. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and daughter-in-law.
She enjoyed flower gardening and had a special love for sunflowers and yellow roses. She loved dogs, cats and horses. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Randy Hiatt of Kelso; a daughter, Emily Hiatt of Kelso; her mother, Betty Merrill (John Cain) of High Ridge; her father, Darrell (Alberta) Arndt of Potosi, Missouri; two sisters, Kim (Steve) Tate of Kelso and Amy Eddy of Fenton, Missouri; and a brother, Aaron (Maria) Arndt of Union.
Also two stepbrothers, Jeremy (Missey) Morgan of Herculaneum, Missouri, and Josh (Tiffany) Morgan of Bismarck, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Eddie (Vicky) Hiatt of Union and Denny (Linda) Hiatt of Rosebud, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Pam (Danny) Hilkerbaumer of Rosebud and Beth (John) Sharp of Owensville, Missouri; father- and mother-in-law, Edwin (Rebecca) Hiatt of Union; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jay Hiatt; a niece, Sherry Hilkerbaumer; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
There will be no service. Private burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
