CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Laura Glen Sturm, 86 of Scott City died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Wyatt, Mo., to William Marion and Mary Isabelle Brock Biggs. She married Morris "Junior" Sturm on May 19, 1940, in Illmo, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1981.
Sturm was a seamstress for Ely Walker Co. in Scott City, Mo.
Survivors include five sons, Donald (Xaveria) Sturm of Gordonville, William (Judy) Sturm of Jackson Charles (Rita) Sturm, Pete Sturm and Keith Sturm, all of Scott City; two daughters, Janet Keesee (Robert Wiggins) and Mary Jo ( Johnny) Rogers, both of Scott City; one sister, Edna Ramsey of Scott City; 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eight brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
