GORDONVILLE -- Laura Caroline Grossheider, 90, of Gordonville died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 17, 1908, at Dutchtown, daughter of Alvin and Clara Siemers Feuerhahn. She and Robert F. Grossheider were married June 10, 1928. He died March 18, 1970.
The Grossheiders operated a hatchery many years, and later the Grossheider Lakes. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday School many years. She served as a volunteer for the Lutheran Home Auxiliary Guild.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Seboldt of Cape Girardeau, Margie Reimold of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Bonnie Kinkel of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Emelia Meyer of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ray Feuerhahn of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Church, with the Revs. Brian Schwiesow and Karl Leemon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
