LAURA B. STEVENSON

THEBES, ILL. Laura B. Stevenson, 83, of Thebes, died Wednesday, July 17, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 9, 1908, in Alexander County, Ill., to Samuel and Nora Jackson Copelin.

Survivors are daughters, Barbara Shelton, Jackson, Mo., and Helen Masterson, Hazel Garett and Helen Eyvon, all of Thebes; sons, Herman Stevenson, Tamms, Raymond and Ernest Stevenson, both of Thebes, Eugene Foutch, East Alton, and Leon and Eddie Foutch, all of Thebes, and J.T. Foutch South Roxanna; and a sister, Amy Fischer, Cobden.

She was a member of the Baptist church in Thebes.

Stevenson was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Foutch, and her second husband, Loren Stevenson. She was also preceded in death by two daughters and a sister.

Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Thebes. Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. today and until 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Visitation at the church will be after 1 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Carl D. Fischer will officiate.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
