Lars Evald Toftemark, 33, of Columbus, Miss., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.
He was born Dec. 20, 1967, in Eugene, Ore., son of Svend L. and Lois Dayton Toftemark. He married Elizabeth Ruddy.
Toftemark was a deputy staff judge advocate with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eric Ruddy Toftemark; a daughter, Katherine Toftemark, all of Columbus; his parents of Eugene; a sister, Lisa Annette Toftemark of Seattle, Wash.; and father and mother-in-law, Timothy and Linda Ruddy of Cape Gir-ardeau.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today in Base Theatre at Columbus Air Force Base. The Rev. Don Vollenweider will officiate. A reception will follow in the Base Chapel Fellowship Hall.
Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Vollenweider officiating. A military graveside service will be conducted by a Scott Air Force Base detachment.
