Larry Womack

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Larry Joe Womack, 63, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at the Union County Hospital.

He was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Berryville, Ill., to Amel and Pluma Ragain Womack. He married Glenda Roach on July 20, 1990, in Jonesboro.

He did maintenance work at the Sunshine Inn in Anna, Ill., and was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Betty Kinslow of Jonesboro; two brothers, Ralph Womack of Jonesboro and Gary Womack of Braidwood, Ill.; a son, Danny Womack of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Ginger Engstrom of California; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Gene Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
