CHAFFEE — Larry Edward White, son of the late William “Ed” and Dessie Jones White, was born April 19, 1953, in Sikeston and departed this life Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his home in Chaffee, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 71 years.

He married Connie Sue Johnson on April 10, 1997, and she survives of the home. Larry was a successful, self-made businessman. He owned and operated Larry’s Quick Mart, Lorenzo’s Pizza and Delta Quick Mart.

His passion was flying and that was when he was at his happiest. Larry was well known for his generosity and helping those in need. Fly high. You were loved by so many, and you will be dearly missed.

Besides his wife, Connie White, he is survived by two daughters, Tonya (Sam) Glency and Rebecca White, both of Chaffee; a stepson, Ryan Chasteen of Farmington; stepdaughter, Amy Chasteen of Chaffee; sister, Phyllis Glueck of Chaffee; four grandchildren, Tyler and Katelyn Huckstep and Ali and Addison Keys; and four great-grandchildren, Braxton, Kingston, Kinsley and Chase.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Lewis as officiant. Burial will follow at the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
