Larry J. Welker, 71, of Gordonville died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 20, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Glennon Jesse "Glen" and Florence Lappe Welker.
He and Xiufang Sang were married Sept. 28, 1999, in China.
Larry served in the Navy from 1969 to 1973.
He was the owner of Welker Fence Company.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus 1111, American Legion Post 63, Elks Lodge 639, Eagles Aerie 3775 and St. Mary Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife; adopted daughter, Nikki; two brothers, Jerry (Charlotte) Welker of Cape Girardeau and Floyd (Mary Ann) Welker of Butler, Missouri; sister, Carol Welker of Perryville, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews; .
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Due to COVID restrictions, the visitation will be private.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice in Larry's name.
