Larry Dean Warner, 59, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in St. Louis, son of Leslie and Geneva McCasling Warner. He and Cheryl Schultz were married May 7, 1998.

Warner was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving three tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Frame, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.

He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and former member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry Warner Jr. of Marble Hill, Mo., Tim Warner of Fruitland, Thomas Warner of Scott City; two daughters, Tiffany Warner of Fruitland, Elizabeth Warner of Missouri; two stepsons, Richard and Austin Hotop of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Nichole Hotop of Jackson; two sisters, Michelle Mungle and Chuckie Arthur of Cape Girardeau; a stepsister, Theresa Fulford of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. An American Legion service will be held at 6:30.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Mann officiating.
