EAST PRAIRIE -- Larry W. "Pops" Laughlin, 56, of East Prairie, died Monday, June 5, 1995, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born March 30, 1939, in East Prairie, son of Dorsie W. and Irene Morgan Laughlin.
Laughlin was a professional trumpet player. He was a former member of New Orleans Jazz Club and former member of East Prairie Lions Club.
Survivors include his mother of East Prairie, and a brother, J.L. Laughlin of Charleston.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. J.L. Laughlin and Jim Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
