VANDUSER, Mo. -- Larry Gene Verble, 59, of Vanduser died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Aug. 3, 1944, near Bell City, Mo., son of Victor Lionel and Addie Juanita Adams Verble. He and Diane Kay Dumey were married Nov. 5, 1963, in Jackson.

Verble was owner and operator of Verble's TV and Satellite Sales, and worked for R.T.W. Greenfield Industries in Malden, Mo., until March 2003. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3151.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Verble of Puxico, Mo., Robert Verble of Morley, Mo.; two daughters, Carol Cohen of Sikeston, Melissa Verble of Rogers, Ark.; his mother of Sikeston; two sisters, Diana Clark of Sikeston, Patricia Nichols of Bell City; and six grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Revs. Stephen Schneider and John Harth officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, with military rites by Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
