Larry Sanguinett

Larry Sanguinett, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Southeast Hospital. He was born April 25, 1930, in St. Louis, to George and Catherine Bruenger Sanguinett. Sanguinett served honorably in the U.S. Army from August 1951 to May 1953. His awards include a Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Campaign Star, a UN Service Medal and two Overseas Service Bars...

Larry Sanguinett, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born April 25, 1930, in St. Louis, to George and Catherine Bruenger Sanguinett.

Sanguinett served honorably in the U.S. Army from August 1951 to May 1953. His awards include a Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Campaign Star, a UN Service Medal and two Overseas Service Bars.

He was first employed as a machinist at Burkhart Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis, and later owned and operated the former Lor-Roy Foam in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a sister, Lorraine Baker of Cape Girardeau; and two brothers, George and William Sanguinett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
