Larry E. Proctor, 56, of St. Louis died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at his home.
He was born April 16, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of General "Bus" and Doris Wills Proctor.
He graduated from Jackson Senior High School in 1967. He then was inducted into the U.S. Air Force on June 13, 1968, and was honorably discharged June 12, 1972. He served during the Vietnam War and was sergeant at the time of his discharge.
He worked as a department manager for 32 years at Kmart in Kansas City and St. Louis.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Proctor of Millersville, and a brother, Keith Proctor of Friedheim.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be at Lessley Cemetery, west of Burfordville, with graveside military honors.
