CAIRO, Ill. -- Larry J. Morris, 55, of Cairo, formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 26, 1951, in St. Louis, son of Harvey and Caseline Barnes Morris. He was a 1968 graduate of Charleston High School, and a 1994 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Morris was a teacher the past 11 years with Cairo School District.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; a son, Lee Beal of Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Michelle Pulliam of Cape Girardeau, Tonya Hill of Chicago, Ashley Tucker of Cairo; a brother, Michael Morris of Sikeston, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at Bowden Civic Center in Charleston, Mo., from noon to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the center, with the Rev. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston.
Williams Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
