SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lawrence C. "Larry" Menz, 66, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at his home.
He was born May 12, 1941, in New Hamburg, Mo., son of Clemens Frank and Loretta Ann Westrich Menz. He and Edith Penrod were married Sept. 10, 1966, in New Hamburg.
Menz received a bachelor of arts degree and also had a degree in theology from Kendrick Seminary in St. Louis. He had been assistant manager and manager at Homestead Distributing Co. and served on the board of directors. He also was assistant manager at Orscheln Farm and Home Supply.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3151.
Menz served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.
Survivors include his wife; and two brothers, Harold Menz of Chaffee, Mo., and Richard Menz of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Church, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenburg officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Hamburg.
