HOWARDVILLE -- Larry Lee Mead, 41, of Howardville, died Friday, May 12, 2000.
He was born Feb. 26, 1959, in Catron, son of Gussie Lee and Charline Boyd Mead of Catron. He and Debra Miller were married.
Mead was a 1977 graduate of Lilbourn High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1986. He received an honorable discharge.
Survivors include his wife of Hartsville, S.C.; his parents; two daughters, Ruby L. Mead of Hartsville and Precious Johnson of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Albert Charles Whitfield and Robert Earl Whitfield, both of Chicago; Albert Louis Mead of Howardville and Ervin Lee Mead of Malden; four sisters, Doris Jean Pope and Pauletta Young, both of Howardville; Gloria Mae Robinson of New Madrid and Aura Lue Mead Hampton of Lilbourn.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Lilbourn.
Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Charles Bell officiating.
Military rites and burial will be at Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron.
Williams-Farr and Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
